As Head of Security for a large electronics manufacturer based in London ( though the contents of this blog do not necessarily represent those of my employer), I have built my team up from 1st principals and now cover the information security needs of the company’s entire Europe Middle East and Africa ( EMEA) operation. Not only have I created one of the most diverse and respected teams in IT, striving to drive down the number of incidents as well as costs, but I have also lead the creation of an ICT academy providing structured training plans for over 350 staff based all around EMEA. I am a people manager who believes that everyone has the right to contribute and that every person in the team counts, something that is especially true when it comes to risk management and security education, my two main passions.
